Announcing the opening of South Baltimore Music Academy
Patterson Park Academy of Music, a pillar of East Baltimore's music education landscape, announces the opening of South Baltimore Music Academy in Federal Hill. Now in their fourth year of providing fun and high-quality music programs for families in East Baltimore, founders Joshua Espinoza and Erik Franklin are thrilled to bring the same to families in the broader South Baltimore community from their studios located at 740 Light St.
South Baltimore Music Academy will offer an expansive range of music lessons to students aged 5 and up, including one-on-one instruction in piano, violin, cello, guitar, ukulele, and drums. Recognizing the importance of early musical exposure and experiences, SoBo Music Academy will also offer specialized baby and toddler music classes for ages 0 to 5 beginning in the fall of 2024.
"Our mission at Patterson Park Academy of Music has always been to enrich the lives of our community through the joy of music," said Joshua Espinoza, founder and director. "The opening of the South Baltimore Music Academy is an exciting step toward our goal of fostering creativity and musical exploration from the very earliest ages. Our instructors are not only highly experienced performers, but we handpick teachers who are truly excellent with children and can quickly ignite a child’s imagination and musical interest from the get-go.”
South Baltimore Music Academy will operate from its studios at 740 Light St in Federal Hill, also home to The Therapy Stop and The Well, an acupuncture and massage studio. “We’re grateful to operate alongside the fantastic folks at The Therapy Stop and The Well, two respected wellness-oriented organizations in the SoBo community,” says Espinoza.
