Macaroni Kid South Baltimore is once again excited to be a Media Sponsor of Kennedy Krieger Institute's Festival of Trees. This year Kennedy Krieger will be going virtual for this well-loved family event. With health and safety a priority to all, this year's Festival of Trees has been reimagined as an online experience, with the addition of a new, drive-through Toy Drive at the Maryland State Fairgrounds!
Invite your family and friends to join you in supporting the more than 25,000 children and families that Kennedy Krieger serves each year. You can attend this exciting event from nearly anywhere this year. It's the perfect start to the holiday season and a great way to support Kennedy Krieger Institute. The interactive Event Experience Portal will be accessible on the three days following Thanksgiving for 24 hours each day.
Kennedy Krieger's Festival of Trees will include:
- One-of-a-kind, designer-decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses on display and for sale online
- A bevy of silent auction items, ranging from sports memorabilia to family fun packages, to view and easily bid and track online
- Virtual holiday entertainment, including a performance by the Grammy-nominated band Milkshake
- Live Q&A events with Santa and Disney princesses
- A raffle with two great prizes - two Club Level seats to the Baltimore Ravens vs. Green Bay Packers football game and a Maryland State Lottery Scratch-Off Tree with 100 $1 Holiday Cheer tickets
- Online access to artisan vendors selling handmade crafts, novelties, ornaments and gifts
NEW this year! The first-ever Festival of Trees Toy Drive will be held outside at the Maryland State Fairgrounds on Friday, November 26, and Saturday, November 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be collecting toys for patients and students at Kennedy Krieger. The toy drive drop-off will be a fun event in and of itself, with music, Santa, giveaways and other entertainment that attendees can enjoy from their cars! Each person who drops off a toy will receive a special giveaway as a “thank you” for helping Kennedy Krieger Institute make the season brighter.
